Spain Mobility of our "Road to a Green Future" Erasmus+ Project



The first mobility of our Erasmus+ KA210-SCH School Education "ROAD TO GREEN FUTURE" Project, supported by the European Commission, was held in Valencia, Spain, on 18-22 September 2023. A team of four teachers from Borsa Istanbul Etimesgut Süvari Secondary School - Gamze Gül Er, Hamdi Bekiz, Kadriye Karaüzüm İlhan and Mehmet Cem Satman - participated in the mobilization. The objectives of the Project, in which Turkey, Latvia, Italy and Spain are partners, are directly related to the EU's priorities, such as combating environment and climate change, European common heritage, civil participation and supporting teacher professions.

We carried out learning and teaching activities within the 5-day program organized by our partner, host country Spain. The goal of this activity is; The aim was to discover innovative, creative concrete methods and tools in climate education with ecological learning approaches. In the program;

*Partners met and introduced their institutions. Project management was reviewed and joint decisions were made.

* A guiding Ecological module presentation was made for climate literacy.

*We participated in the "City hunt" game as a strategy for environmental education and learning through landscape. We discovered historical buildings and sustainable practices in the city.

* As "Nature-based learning and nature experience" based on rich learning experiences; We participated in a guided walking tour of Devesa forest and El Saler beach, and a guided boat tour of the Rice fields, lake and bird sanctuary.

* We evaluated the visibility and dissemination plan of the project. Our Italian partner introduced the project blog page. Our Türkiye partner introduced the use of eTwinning and twinspace.

*As free environmental education approaches and outdoor teaching techniques; We visited the Ceramics Museum. We had the opportunity to see and get to know the works of famous artists made of clay and porcelain.

* As functional Eco teaching environments and green catering; Together with the teams, we participated in the traditional Spanish dish "paella" preparation competition and tasted the Spanish national dish.

* As Teamwork – Educators shared their best eco Strategies with partners.

*We participated in cultural city tours.

*Evaluation and Certificate ceremony was held at the end of the program.
