The Erasmus+ Project Road to Green Future has come to a successful conclusion, leaving a lasting impact on climate education and sustainability efforts in schools across Europe. Throughout the project, various educational materials, training programs, presentations, videos, and a comprehensive brochure were developed. These resources encapsulate the collective work and achievements of the participating partners, aiming to foster climate awareness and action in educational environments.
Key Outcomes of the Project
C1 Activity – Spain: Teachers' Guide and Training for Climate Coaching
Following the C1 project activity, the Spanish partner ALPE developed the first key output, Teachers' Guide and Training for Climate Coaching. This guide equips educators with innovative methods and techniques rooted in eco-pedagogy and ecological approaches. By integrating climate education into their lessons, teachers will provide climate coaching, empowering students to actively engage in sustainability and climate action. Additionally, this initiative has strengthened collaboration among European teachers, enhancing their linguistic, communicative, and cooperative skills.
C2 Activity – Italy: Climate Change Commitment Program in Schools
As a result of the C2 project activity in Italy, the Climate Change Commitment Program in Schools was created. This program represents a foundational step in addressing climate change by fostering engagement from all educational stakeholders. By encouraging active participation in climate action, it aims to increase the academic and practical capacity of schools across Europe, ensuring a more sustainable future.
C3 Activity – Latvia: A Guide to Sustainable Living
The C3 project activity in Latvia led to the development of A Guide to Sustainable Living, designed to inspire behavioral change towards sustainability. This guide includes an eco-activity package to help teachers integrate climate change topics into both curricular and extracurricular activities. Through experiential learning, students will develop lasting sustainable habits, transforming theoretical knowledge about environmental and climate issues into practical, everyday actions. By internalizing sustainable living principles, students will lay the groundwork for a greener future.
The Road to Green Future Project has successfully equipped educators and students with the knowledge, tools, and strategies to combat climate change through education. By fostering international collaboration and providing tangible resources, this initiative has contributed significantly to the ongoing effort to integrate sustainability into the European education system. The impact of these outcomes will extend beyond the project’s duration, inspiring future generations to embrace and advocate for a sustainable world.
