In May 2023, Daugavpils Draudzīgā aicinājuma secondary school started Basic Activities No. 2 (KA 2) of the European Union Erasmus+ program Small-scale partnership project school education sector agreement no. 2022-1-LV01-KA210-SCH-000082391 (ID No. KA210-SCH-B3608098) implementation of the "ROAD TO GREEN FUTURE" project.
The goals and priorities of the project are directly related to EU priorities in the field of combating environmental and climate change, common European values and civil participation, as well as support for teaching professions.
In October - December, project participants, actively working both individually and in groups, carried out various tasks.
The students and teachers of the school were satisfied with the civic participation and participation in the educational processes in environmental protection issues.
In the fall, young people had the opportunity to participate in cleaning-up work with the aim of tidying up the nearby forest area and discussing important topics about ecology, waste sorting and polluting nature with educators.
Physics, mathematics, biology, chemistry, primary school, Russian and English teachers A. Prosčenko, K. Bagijeva, J. Markova, K. Gomola, Ž. Špoģe and Ž. Ugarenko prepared presentations, videos, KAHOOT game, worksheets and tests for project participants, students, parents and educators to conduct lessons and organise conversations about ecology, environmental protection and climate change issues.
05.12.2023 the Zoom meeting was organised for all project participants from Turkey, Italy, Latvia and Spain, where the coordinators talked about the work to be done, project publicity, e-Twinning, the project website, evaluation of test results, development of materials, etc..
In parallel with all the activities, a video film and an article about the progress of the project were made.
The work on the project continues, the participants have other tasks to be completed, as well as experience exchange mobilities.
